Music Classes that Rock!
Did you know that after the school bell rings, CVU High School morphs into an amazing resource for the rest of the community? Really! They put together a whole bunch of really cool (and reasonably priced) classes for all ages throughout the year. They have a special selection called Connecting with Kids that offers anything from cookie decorating to creative dance to
parenting classes. Here are just a few for the musically inclined:
Music Seeds - (ages Newborn - 2)
You and your baby will make beautiful melodies together. It is an introduction to the sights and sounds of music.
- Mondays, 4:30 - 5:00 pm
- Starts October 6th - 8 weeks

Music Seeds - (ages 2-5)
Create a symphony of sound with your little one using songs, chants, scarves, shakers and more. Parents and pre-schoolers learn music through playing together.

The Music Man: Music games for Kids (ages 4-8)
Parents & Children will have a rocking blast while singing songs and playing games that encourage participation and dancing.
- Wednesdays, 5:00 - 6:00 pm
- Starts October 8th - 9 weeks
- Cost: $110
Super Star Studio DJing, Rapping and Slam Poetry (ages 10+)
Blindog P Star (a.k.a. Peter the Music Man) will teach your kids DJ turntable music mixing techniques, beat matching, and scratching on a real vinyl and digital Serato Scratchlive. Each student even gets a free studio recording of their DJing, production and/or lyrics and a video of the group performance will be filmed for You-Tube. Now how cool is that?!
